I don't find this one hard at all. I think if my mom could be any animal she would be a golden retriever. With a red tint. And her name would probably be serena.

I almost asked the question "what breed of dog would she be" because I know how much she LOVES puppies...

but I am going to go out on a limb and say she'd be a bunny. She's cute and spunky and energetic and so much fun to be around.

She does love dogs, but I don't think she would ever want to BE one. Momma Redder is a mix of many animals, there's no way I could narrow it down to just one. So here is a list:

a SEAL - because she would love to lay out on a dock and catch some serious sun rays.
a PANDA - because she loves to read and take a good nap.
a PEACOCK - because I think (and everyone would agree) Karen is so pretty. And she is the best looking grammy ever.
a CAT - because she is a hugger and a snuggler. Especially with the grandkids.

Bev says; It seems like Karen was born just naturally loving animals! I’ve been around them all my life too, but Karen loves to talk to them & hold them & just hug them! My guess is that everyone will say Karen would like to be a dog because she’s had so many dogs as pets during her life! But before she was married, I saw how much she loves cats. I thought Karen loved our cats just as much if not more than any Heidi dogs, or other dogs. In fact, I will guess Karen loves all animals! I say that Karen would be a cute, nice, friendly, furry bear that would just hug everybody all day long! I'm sending my birthday hug to you, Karen!! I love you!

I would say a cute little robin bird because: 1-She knows how to make a nest that is inviting to all, especially her own little chicks. 2-She would (and has) done so much for her family, she'd go get worms first thing in the morning if that was the way to feed her family. 3-She loves nature and being outdoors, now she'd just get a better view of it all. 4-She makes people around her happy--she'd go find a bird feeder or bath where she knew some little old lady was waiting for her to make her daily presence. 5-Birds take naps right? She must get a nap in, especially if she's getting up early to get worms

I think Mom would be an Owl. (1)A Night Owl. She has always been one to stay up late playing games, taking the kids TP'ing or just talking. It was commonplace for Mom to stay to 1-2am every weekend night. (2)Also, I think she is very wise like an Owl and has provided great insight and counsel to many. (3)I think of the Owl in Winnie the Pooh and she is really nice and motherly. Mom is so nice, motherly and charitable to all. Love you Mom!

Halle says... Aunt karen would be a bird because they make nests, fly everywhere and hatch little babies!

Guy says--

Even though mom loves animals, especially dogs...I can't picture her AS an animal. I don't think she'd be a good animal, I like her the way she is.

Derek and I both think of a mama bear; protecting, teaching, and loving her cubs. She is the greatest mama I know!

If reincarnation was possible Karen would be an animal that loves to have fun, be resourceful, and a great nurturer. I remember Karen always doing my hair as a child. Monkeys like to groom their loved ones by picking out bugs, so it just makes sense that she would be a monkey!

Karen has always loved all sorts of animals. On the farm, she liked our cats and dogs, but she would never want to be a farm animal of any kind. She might consent to be a dog if it were one of the really pampered ones that would be strictly in the house to be brushed and petted and fed only select food. The nature of a cat is more her personality though: "Cats will do as they darn well please, and men and dogs just better just get used to the idea!!" She would be a very loyal creature, however. I can envision her having characteristics of a variety of animals--but she would pick and choose carefully--endearing herself to every one around her.

I would have to say, a Golden Retriever to be exact. They are always up for a game, love to go on walks, they take a nap or two a day, swimming, and then laying out after getting wet. They are always happy. And they are beautiful.

Probably an Elephant. Only because they are one of the only animals equipped with the strength to squash a donkey.

You have always been an animal lover, Karen! One Easter in Chico when you were about five, you ran outside to hunt for Easter eggs. Mark and Carl had two or three rabbits they were raising for a Scout project. While hunting for your eggs, you looked in the rabbit hutch the boys had built on the fence. Suddenly you came running into the house all excited. You said, "The Easter Bunny laid some bunnies!" We went out there, and sure enough, one of the rabbits had new babies. You and Rex loved playing with them on the lawn after they had grown a bit. Rex was a very reliable "rabbit tender." If a bunny hopped away from the group, he would get really nervous. Using his nose, he would push it back with the others. He wanted them all in a neat little pile--then he was comfortable.

In Chico, you introduced the Watts family to cats. Between you and Brenda, they didn't stand a chance to not have one of your kittens join their family.

If you were an animal, though, I would picture you as a Murphy. Of course, you would expect the same kind of care and treatment you give to him! You would expect people to be as kind and generous to you as you are to people and animals. I love you, MOM

It is hard to deny that momma redder is a Murphy dog through and through, with the exception that she is a lot more fit than murphy with her mad yoga skills. She is playful, loyal, and loving, with her bright personality shining through.

Murphy dog doesn't capture the entire personality through... She has some tigress in her blood. She'll stand up for her family and her country if they are threatened. That is when her fiesty side comes out.

And ANYONE whos been around Momma Redder knows she is a humming bird. She is ALWAYS humming an she goes about her work.

Carl says: A mommy lamb, because she's such a good mom. I remember how she took care of Katie after she got burned. She has also been really good to Carla, Thanks, Karen.

Aunt Karen is so sweet and loving. She would definitely have to be something that nurtured and loved those around her. Maybe a chicken because she would protect her chicks, but I can't really see Aunt Karen as a chicken... She would have to be something more cute and soft.

Mom would be a momma kangaroo, and she would make enough time to carry each of us Joey's around in her pouch, and give us special love and attention. She has always had time for one-on-one attention and love.
