If she absolutely MUST work - I would say a librarian. But only if that library was in the middle of a pool, or on the beach. And she would work in her swimsuit. :)
I think she could open a little bakery and sell her delicious home-made wheat/white bread and granola.
But really she'd rather be a lifeguard at a resort pool soaking up the rays, reading a good book, and sipping some diet soda--NOT really being a lifeguard, just pretending.
I think she'd also love to teach history--to make sure the kids today are getting the REAL facts about our country.
Bev says: Karen has many abilities and could do most any job, but she is good at giving wonderful counsel to others. Even though I’m 9 years older, she has given me wise guidance. One time I was worried one of my girls might marry someone I didn’t want her to. I told Karen on the phone, “I can tell she loves him & she’ll probably marry him.” Karen said, “Just because she loves him doesn’t mean she needs to marry him.” I thought, “She’s right.” I felt a lot better after that phone call, and my daughter didn’t end up marrying that guy. I say Karen could stay home & do what she would normally do, but people could call her on the phone & ask for her good counsel. I love you, Karen!! Happy Birthday!
I think Mom's dream job would be to lay out by the pool, read a book and enjoy a tasty bevy, but I think Mom would be a fantastic High School counselor or something like that. Mom has always been the favorite mom for all of our high school friends. She is a great listener, she is fun and she is so interested in what is going on in every individual's life. We are lucky to have you Mama!!
While she was in college she was a receptionist and didn't like that. Later in life she tried substitute teaching and didn't like that because of some rude kids. I think her perfect job would be working with Glenn Beck doing research on all the Founding Fathers.
I would have to agree with everyone else... she would have to be laying in the sun, soaking up the vitamin D, reading a book about history, and sipping a soda. OR... get paid shopping with friends! so fun!
I'm trying to think of a job title that would let her read while she sunbathed and provided "Dear Abby" advice. This would be the perfect job--as long as she could have a salad brought to her every once in a while. She likes to be relaxed and have fun, but she isn't truly content unless everyone around her is having a good time also. She's a good "little sister" because she is always concerned for the welfare of the "OLD" sister. I love you, Karen!
Karen would hold any job that would allow her to keep her busy schedule that she follows at this present time. This leaves a list that would include high school tanning teacher, the local childrens book reader at the local library, a Wal-Mart greeter, or a doggie day care groomer. Of course these jobs are too tedious and dull to actually be considered as employment for her. The only job suitable would be the President of the United States, or the president of the nursery. Obviously in either of these two jobs, she would deal with people with basically the same level of understanding (only the ones in nusuery are at least honest).
Karen, you have always enjoyed books, so you'd do well in a job that allowed you to share literary knowledge with whomever would listen to you. But you'd HAVE to be ouside! When you were young, you loved laying on the deck in the sun. Dad and I were often warning you of the dangers of too much sun. Is anyone surprised that you never listened to us??? Besides the sunshine, water would have to be a part of your ideal environment. When we moved to Chico, you took right to the swimming pool. Dad called you his little "water dog." Even at 5-6 years of age, you became a good swimmer. Everyone talked about how you could already do the butter fly stroke! So I would say that your dream job would need to include books, sunshine, and water. Good luck! Love, MOM
Momma Redder's dream would have to be to open up a little shop right on the North Shore of Hawaii. The shop would back right up to the ocean and it would have a big concrete area to one of the side just in case you didn't want to get covered in sand while you layed out.
The shop would seel her bread, granola, wheat grass, home grown aloe vera. It would have a section with loads of books about politics and the constitution. AND there would be a shaved ice section that would put Motsumoto's to shame.

My moms dream job would probably be reading books by a pool. Getting a nice tan. With a refill cup full of diet Pepsi.

Halle says... she should have a job cheering for everyone at ball games because she likes doing that. She is so cheerful and makes everone so happy!

I think she would be a professional cheerleader... for the Dallas Cowboys.

Oh man I want to live right next to karen's shop.
Carl says: Karen would be a very good nanny, because she's so good with kids.
When I was younger I remember Aunt Karen loved her dogs. Maybe she would want to play with cute puppies and get paid for it.
Or maybe she could have a day care for her grandchildren. She would probably love that, but she probably wouldn't want her kids to pay her.
She would work out of a little tent (representing tent cities) and sell 72-hour kits and food storage
